Lovely B&B in Hulian------- Ocean Journey

 

Hualien is  located in north east terminus of  Taiwan,  among  several mountains and cliffs, such the name of the sea, Pacific Ocean. We, Taiwanese, call it " backyard" of  Taiwan,  for relaxing and enjoying nature. We started our trip from 12th, Feb early morning and arrived " Ocean Journey" around noon. After long driving, blue tables and chairs reminded my childhood life and white color decoration eased my tension.

Host, Momo, already prepared black tea and red bean cake , made by Momo's mom, on the table.  Black tea tasted soft and strong fragrant and was tasty too. And both of then were unlimited

 

On the big wall in front of the stairs , there is a draw and a bike, just my wish to be relaxing and joyful. Before going upstairs, we changed to sterilized slipper to go up. That is a very sweet of hygiene consideration and Momo showed all the rooms to us.. 

There are five rooms in Ocean Journey,  Momo showed us all of them.  Theme of this room is " metropolitan", felt I was walking in NY or London, even you could play basketball in room, wanna try.......

Would you like to take a guess what is theme of this room? There is a very comfortable sofa in front of bed, you even could play chess in your room with partner. What's your answer? Momo's answer is room of The King and Queen. I wanna try this room next journey ......

Sky of Greece, this is my favorite room.  It is all blue with daylight, when nights come, it combines a little violet light , and the room gets all dark.......please draw a picture with stars and meteors.... I took it for this journey for two nights. It was really great.

After a long nice sleep, all we need a tasty and healthy breakfast to fill up our energy.  Momo's sister was a chief of dessert in a famous restaurant, woke up in early to make breakfast for all guests. French fries of sweet potato, salad with self-cultivated yo-gout  and smoked-chicken pasto sauce sandwich were really awesome.........

 Pumpkin soup deserved to be mentioned about its rich texture...... never competed

Color Me Rad Taiwan

Color Run is originated from Holi Festival in India to pray for single married women. Nowadays Color Run has become a popular and joyful activities  in many countries. The first Color Run in Taiwan was took place at 18th Aug ,2013, in DaCha River Park. Son has enrolled and  forward it for months. When we arrived at the right moment , electronic dance music was hitting my ear drums.Son dressed his shirt and towel , put sticker on his face. We were almost ready to run.

It was said in the news there were more than 13 thousands participants in this run.At every stop one kilometer apart ,they spreaded colorful powder made by unpoison cornstarch  every km stations . Everyone dressed up with white shirt , sunglasses to protect eyes and towels like son did. Some of them were much well prepared about this run. Some wore stripe socks, colorful wigs or masks . And I guessed aliens were there too.  

Can you imagine loud electrical dancing  music accompanied with colorful powder  full of sky with dancing people ? I felt I joined a daytime party in the park . Everyone was energetic, full of passionate.After getting sweaty and being powdered , white shirt , shoes and hair became colorful. Just like all human body painted. Full of fun.

There will be 3 more Color Runs till end of this year. North, Taichung and Kaohsiung will get one more each. Would you like to join? 

Fangie Chaodan( Tomato fry egg)

 Fangie Chaodan is a very popular dish in Taiwan. Everyone loves this dish mixed into steamed rice. This is one of my favorite dishes too. I will tell you an easy way of how to make fangie chaodan.

Ingredients :
2 tomatoes,  4 eggs,  2 sticks  of green onion,  some rocky candy, 1 teaspoon of salt.

Directions:
1.Heat tomatoes by boiling water to remove the outer skin.
2.Slice tomatoes to cube and chop green onion into small cube also.Add 1 teaspoon water to eggs juice and stir to bubble like.
3.Preheat a medium pot and fry eggs juice into semi solidified then load to a container.
4.Preheat oil , mix white part of green onion to  vaporize fragrant , slow down tomatoes cubes and rocky candy, slow fire makes the tomatoes juice out.It will take around 3 mintues.
5.Mix semi solidified eggs , green part of green onion and a teaspoon of salt.
6.we have done this dish all.

Tips:
1.The last step will be salt before loading.
2.Mixing act of eggs juice must be quick to avoid becoming egg blocks.

Wai Ao--The most beautiful beach in YiIan

Wao Ao is located in Yilan county, the northeast part of Taiwan, famous of its beautiful beach and natural scenery.. Those pictures taken in Wao Ao beach park.. This bright colorful asymetrical buliding designed by a international architecture company .

I enjoyed coffee and cake in the coffee shop watching dabbers, kick-board, surfing, and aquatic motorcycle, etc. Most of time, i don't play those stuffs, just taking photos around  and having the delicious food , breath taking coffee.....
Wao Ao is nearby a fishery harbor also, another option is picking a B&B to stay here one night and blewn by the breeze of sea, have fresh seafood around harbor. Welcome to join me~~~LOL

Jinquashi~~one of the northeast spots

 Jingaoshi means " golden melon stone" in Chinese. It was a remote wilderness until 1844. Five settlers decided to settle their families here and build 5 cottages. In 1893 , someone discovered gold  veins in the head of Jinguo mountain and began to dig. This waterfall called golden waterfall coming from the head of Jinga mountain. The soil seems shining by the gold sand.

Taiwan was a colony of Japan during late Chin Dynasty. Had been ruled by Japanese government  managing the gold digging industry. Those Japanese house were made for Japanese manager. The rusted metal is telling a historic legend to us.

This canal was golden mine before, many mine workers were buried decades ago. Now , it is sightseeing spotlight of Jingashi.

This Japanese palace style building was built for prince of Japan hundreds before. It was an antiquated before. But painted become purple recently and pretested by citizen. Maybe will be painted Japanese brown in the future.~~~INTERESTING~~

eveing to all~~~

To have nice trip in summers evening is pretty wonderful enjoyment in daily life~~maybe just be my point of view.
But i do really enjoy it a lot.

This just a little park zone nearby my house.All residents here come here to enjoy their evening.Father and son come to ride bike and just sit there enjoy the blowing wind.

When the night is coming, all the lights around the pound are lighting up to make so beautiful scenery. But mosquitoes are coming also. I need to keep walking to consume more calories.




Anyway, it is pretty pleasurable walking around in evenings~~

The place I am living~~~transition of new and old age

I am not living in this building~~~hehehe. This is just shot taken from a park nearby my house.Building , just built earlier of this year, right on the right side belongs to very famous telecom company here.
On the contrast, building, have been existed for decades, right on the left side, belongs to same enterprise group. Both of them, standing there just like face to face, having conversation between their ages~~~
I don't know what's the name of this tree. But do love the color of leaves it has. When they are giggling among wind , just like wonderful dress of fairies~~

It was a cloudy and humid evening, before cooking my dinner, enjoying the scenery in that park.
No sun with pink cloud, it was still a nice evening.




There are some wonderful restaurants in that morderm building. Good to have a nice supper there!!!!
